Chris was born and raised on the Gulf Coast of Florida and this is one of his culinary influences. Cooking since the age of 9 Chris has studied under some of New Orleans most renowned chefs including Phil Calahan, Kevin Graham, and Paul Prudhomme . After graduating culinary arts school in New Orleans Chris held the position as Chef de Cuisine of Pat O'Brien's on the River. With the birth of his second child, Grace, Chris and wife Jeanne decided to move back to Pensacola to raise their children and be closer to their families. A life long dream has been to open a gourmet shop and catering business, this dream has now come true. With partners Jack and John and the support of family and friends Big Sexy Food is now a reality and the passion of food continues.

 

John was born and raised in the kitchens of New Orleans; he spent his childhood "helping" his mother and grandmother as they taught in Lee Barnes' Cooking school and then The Creole Delicacies kitchen in Riverwalk mall. Since he was fifteen John has been honing his professional skills with such chefs as Daniel Bonnot, Susan Spicer, Phil Callahan and Allison Vega. After Culinary Arts School, John went on as executive sous chef of Pat O'Brien's and then Patout's, Cajun Cabin and The Bourbon Veiux. John, along with his wife Vanessa and sons Andrew and Liam, moved to Pensacola and became the Baker of Big Sexy Bread and the sexiest chocolate cake you've ever had.
